This year, all entries must be made through the online entry form. Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival
Online applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Maryland Sheep & Wool Ambassador, to be chosen at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. The person selected to serve will represent the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association and help to promote sheep and wool during the following year. The competition is open to all genders. Contestants must be between the ages of 14 and 18, inclusive (based on age as of January 1). This all-electronic competition allows contestants age 18 and under to enter presentations (including PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations) on the subjects of breed promotion, wool promotion, meat promotion, and fair or festival sheep showmanship/promotion; contestants don't even need to come to the festival!Complete contest rules and a link to the online entry form are on our website at sheepandwool.org/festival/sheep-promotion-competition/.
